We are seeking an Experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team working out of our Harrison, OH to support our corporate footprint nationwide, along with two subsidiaries located in Canada and the Virgin Islands.

 

Responsibilities

Complete monthly financial statement preparation from beginning to end including balance sheets, profit and loss and branch/subsidiary statements, account reconciliations and journal entries
Complete reviews and analyzes bank statements and general ledger account balances
Facilitates fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Prepares tax returns and corporate reporting requirements, while responding to audit requests
Continuously evaluate and enhance various accounting processes, procedures, controls to improve service, efficiency, quality, and profitability
Review workflow for quality and accuracy and provide recommendations for corrections
Timely follow-up and resolution of all internal/external requests, complaints and/or concerns
Maintain confidentiality with financial information and plans
Provides special project assistance to the CFO and Controller with high visibility
Skills/Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance required
3+ years accounting/finance experience, CPA a plus, but not required
A strong background in financial statement preparation
3+ years’ experience working with Fixed Assets
Proficiency with excel and general accounting applications and practices
Prior experience working with SAP or SAP B1 is preferred
Highly detail-oriented with strong organization skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
Excellent time management skills/abilities while being results-oriented
Self-motivated/self-reliant, while exercising independent judgment and decisions
Capable of multi-tasking and flexibility to change direction or focus as priorities dictate
Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information
