HARRISON, Ohio—Oct. 20, 2017—Five candidates for City of Harrison City Council answered questions from residents during a Community Forum hosted by the Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce and broadcast live via Facebook.

Four of the candidates will be elected for four-year terms. The candidates are incumbents Ryan Grubbs and Ethan Dole, challenged by Michael Mains, Carol Wiwi and Urbano Galindo. The candidates discussed the Southwest Local School District Levy (Issue 25), economic development, and downtown blight.

Daniel Deters from Energy Alliance Inc. also spoke about the benefits of supporting energy aggregation, which will appear on the ballot for Crosby Township (Issue 20) and City of Harrison (Issue 7) voters.

The Greater Harrison Chamber was founded in 2014 to promote growth and prosperity in the Greater Harrison Community. Organizers wanted a group that focused on the development and support of the local business community and to provide a voice for local businesses to city, county, state and national government. The Chamber also provides educational forums, networking, leadership development, marketing opportunities and benefit programs.
