HARRISON, Ohio—Oct. 4, 2017—Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce presented the City of Harrison Police and Fire departments $2,000 at Harrison City Council Tuesday evening.

The funds were generated by the Chamber’s inaugural golf outing September 11. Dozens of local businesses and organizations participated or supported the event, including Gold Sponsors: TripleCats Bar & Grille, JTM Food Group, Stop Stick, Mercy West Hospital, Caroline Hall Hennig Agency and Crown Plastics.

The Chamber’s board of directors decided to donate a portion of the event’s proceeds to Harrison’s first responders.

“In the face of danger, they are on the front line,” said GHCC Chairman Jim Kinnett. “Even in times of peace, they ensure the protocol and equipment is in place to maintain order and accommodate emergency situations. Their work is integral to our mission of supporting growth and prosperity.”

The Greater Harrison Chamber was founded in 2014 to promote growth and prosperity in the Greater Harrison Community. Organizers wanted a group that focused on the development and support of the local business community and to provide a voice for local businesses to city, county, state and national government. The Chamber also provides educational forums, networking, leadership development, marketing opportunities and benefit programs.
